Paid work on new TV drama – trainees wanted, apply now!

Red Productions and BBC North are currently looking for talented and dedicated trainees to join them on a new television drama production called The Fuse. The Fuse is a new 4 – part drama series for BBC1 and focuses on a dissolute Manchester politician who wakes up after an alcohol fuelled night and realises that he might be responsible for a murder – a dramatic act of redemption buys him public adoration but how long can he hide from the truth?

We need one trainee in each of the following 7 departments:

Design, Make-Up, Wardrobe, Production Office, Camera, Sound, Lighting

Trainees must be available to start work on 31 / 10 / 11 and be available for the following 11 weeks.

  • During this time trainees will receive all the necessary training required to work on a drama at this level, and you will also be assigned a mentor who will support and guide you throughout. He/she will be available to offer advice and give you feedback on your performance.
  • Filming hours will be long and hard. You must be flexible and willing to work weekends.  The weekly fee will be £450.

The production will be based in Manchester and so you will need to be able to be based locally for the duration of the production as travel and accommodation expenses will not be reimbursed.

Previous experience is not essential however a keen interest in drama is a must!
