Community Grants Scheme

Tang Hall Big Local Funding

Do you live in the Tang Hall area of York and would be interested in running and supporting your own community project?

Apply for up to £500 to fund your project idea

The Tang Hall Big Local is a £1 million lottery fund awarded to Tang Hall which seeks to develop the local area in ‘making a massive and lasting difference’ over 10 years, developed entirely by the community. In its initial stages the THBL has been awarded £20,000 – part of which is being used for this community grants scheme.

Your project should:

  • Be about supporting people/improving the local area in Tang Hall
  • Develop the aim to get more of the community involved in the Big Local and have their say
  • Ideally be completed within 6 months of grant approval.

It can be anything which you think is missing and would support the area/ members of the community, from a disabled support group to a toy car racing competition in Hull Road Park!

If you require an applying institution get in touch with Enactus (Social Enterprise at UoY) who are already applying to the scheme and can help with developing ideas for projects (yorkenactus@gmail.com).
