Plan ENVY 2014 winners announced!

Careers’ annual Plan ENVY business idea competition concluded at the University of York’s Enterprise Awards Dinner that took place this week, with first year Computer Science student, Alex Woolley, impressing the audience and judging panel to win the £2000 prize and Most Innovative Concept prize with his start-up venture ‘Hashtrack’.

Judges were wowed by the extremely high standard of all of this year’s entries, as well as the fantastic presentations given by all of the finalists.

 

 

 

The finalists of this year’s Plan ENVY business plan competition were:

– Winner (£2000) and Most Innovative Concept (£500) – Alex Woolley, Hashtrack
– Most Robust Business Plan (£500) – Bethan Vincent, Vincent’s Coffee
George Fuest, Crowd Restoration
Hiba Khan, Active minds
Alex Kontos, Waterfox (Alex recently won the prestigious Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Award for this business).

The Plan ENVY competition is a business idea competition, open to all students and recent graduates of the University of York, and is made possible by a generous gift from Santander.
