Recruitment opens 9:00, Monday Week 1 to Midnight, Wednesday Week 3. To find out more about each exciting opportunity visit the YSIS project webpages.
5. Volunteer as a Classroom Assistant in a local school
A York Students in Schools (YSIS) placement provides you with the opportunity to volunteer in schools for a 10-week placement of half a day each week. Applications open from Monday Week 3 to Monday Week 5. If you’re not sure what’s involved, why not attend an Introduction to YSIS session during Week 2 and 3 to find out about the scheme and ask any questions that you might have? 11. Balancing education and part time work
We understand that it is increasingly necessary for students to take on part-time work during their studies. This You Tube clip may be of interest to those of you balancing the two.
