The Civil Service’s paid internship programme for disadvantaged, disabled and ethnic minority students will open on 13 October 2014.

The scheme puts talented undergraduates and graduates on a 6 – 9 week work placement in a government department and by the end of the internship you should feel confident in your ability to apply for the Civil Service Fast Stream.

During your placement you will do challenging project related work such as:

• conducting research
• supporting projects
• assisting on policy documents
• shadowing senior civil servants
  and much more

The scheme is open to penultimate or final year students or those on a postgraduate course that has followed on immediately from your a degree.  Specific eligibility criteria must be met and this includes nationality requirements.
