Looking to secure an insight week, internship, placement year or a graduate role? Take the BAT! The Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) is definitely the right choice to get yourself ahead of the game if you are interested in a finance related career. It is an online test that lasts 2 hours consisting of 100 multiple choice questions which assess you across 8 key financial competencies; News Analysis, Economics, Maths Skills, Analytical Reasoning, Financial Statements Analysis, Investment Banking, Global Markets, Chart and Graph Analysis.

The BAT is an aptitude test so you do not need to revise for it but you can have a look at some sample questions or try the sample quiz. Once you have completed the BAT you can choose to enter your score anonymously onto the BAT Talent Search where over 25,000 recruiters at elite global investment and financial institutions will be searching for outstanding candidates like yourself. If your strengths are what they require, they may request to connect with you and ask to release your CV to them. If they like what they see they will invite you to an interview.

Think your score is too low? Do not be discouraged; you may have excelled in one particular section that a recruiter is looking for. If you’re still not happy with your score, you can retake the BAT as many times as you like as long as you only take one BAT per month and best of all, it is completely FREE of charge.
