Exclusive trip to Sunderland to visit the Nissan plant for York students
Wednesday 26th October 12 – 6.00pm
(Transport from campus included – applications close 20 October)
What is it?
Careers is organising a unique plant visit to Nissan in Sunderland exclusively for 20 York students to learn more about the company, its operations, values and programmes first hand. This is an exclusive opportunity for our students and it is free to take part.
You will get a tour of their factory and hear more about the company directly from their recruitment team and other Nissan employees. This is a great opportunity to enhance your CV and will strengthen your application to Nissan’s placement or graduate schemes.
What’s in it for you?
Regardless of your degree subject, if you are dedicated and driven, then a global career at Nissan could be for you.
Nissan Sunderland offers a range of year placements for students interested in a Year In Industry degree and a range of graduate roles which all give you real, hands-on experience, working on multi-million pound projects with colleagues, partners and suppliers from all over the world. Nissan will help you develop your technical, behavioural and core capabilities to turn you into a true leader of the future and develop your career within Nissan.
By taking just 5 minutes to complete the short application form on the Careers Gateway you could be selected to take part in this visit and gain an exclusive insight into the company, pick up some great inside information to make you stand out on your application form and in your interview and get in front of Nissan recruiters.
You can also ask more questions about the roles available and find out which would be most interesting to you personally to apply to.
This opportunity is much less competitive than most insight schemes with it being open to just York students and it will look great on your CV.
Plus – you get free transport directly from campus and back organised by Careers.
There will then be follow-on Nissan sessions after the visit that you can book on to help you prepare for their assessment centre if you decide to apply for their programmes.
How to Apply
Apply on the Careers Gateway through the Exclusive Opportunities @ York tab. It will take you 5 minutes to complete the form – it’s very basic asking for your motivations for applying for the visit and your current experience both through work and extra curricular activity.
Apply now. Applications close 20th October.
