Autumn Term traditionally sees careers fairs on campus. This year sees a slight difference, in that the fairs are still going ahead, but are all online.
Despite the difference in how they’re available, their purpose is still the same. Employers are still recruiting, even in the current circumstances (though admittedly there are some changes in some sectors) – they still have summer internships, placement year opportunities, and graduate vacancies.
Obviously, the main difference is you won’t be walking around the Physics and Exhibition Centre, chatting with employer representatives and bagging some nice freebies.
However, the virtual fairs will still give you the chance to hear from employers about their company and the jobs on offer – whether that’s in an online presentation or a virtual one-to-one with one of their team.
Fairs (whether online or in person) are an excellent way to get to talk to employers and find out more about them in a fairly relaxed and informal setting.
Check out the Law Fair and Grad jobs and Placements Fair web pages to:

- quickly check who’s going to be there.
Fuller employer profiles will be available on the fairs entries on Handshake, where you’ll also be able to:

So, take the weight off your feet, register for the fairs, and chat with employers all from the comfort of your armchair…or bed!
